I am an experienced landscape designer who is dedicated to exceeding my client's expectations. I am passionate about plant design and love the opportunity to explore new plant combinations and varieties. As a graduate of the Iowa State University College of Design, I completed the landscape architecture curriculum which focuses on using native flora of the Midwest--and my internship with Pizzo & Associates added fuel to the [prairie] fire! After graduating I worked at a plant nursery and design center, where I gained extensive knowledge about perennial combinations. For the last eight years, I’ve been working at a design/build firm handling all aspects of the landscaping process. I’m experienced in leading initial client meetings, calculating design estimates, and project management (which includes ordering material, organizing change orders, and keeping the project on the timeline). My landscape plans have included hardscape, landscape, lighting, drainage solutions, native plantings, and water conservation elements.
